What can you expect from a band whose name literally translates to "DeathSquad"? Well lots of things: terror, shock, horror, but most of all, 45 minutes of relentless sonic exploration in a journey of musical reminiscence and experimentation! Mixing 90's hip-hop with nu-metal and grudge influences, Doodseskader (Tim De Gieter of Amenra and Every Stranger Looks Like You and Sigfried Burroughs of Kapitan Korsakov) have successfully crafted a genre-bending style of their own equally filled with tear-jerking throw-backs and lightning-in-the-dark moments of pure musical ingenuity. On "Year Two" the duo continue to push the boundaries of what we'd normally classify as "metal" music in an exciting and all-conquering sophomore record, destined to elevate the band to new exhilarating heights.
