When The Light Dies (WTLD) is a common project based in La Chaux-de-Fonds / Switzerland. Created in 2009, this quartet gathers long time musicians all coming from the ashes of regional bands and from different musical backgrounds such as stoner, metalcore and neo-metal.

The members of WTLD have, like the Rosetta stone, each written a piece of the history of this band by putting their musical part as a foundation of the building. The whole reveals itself to be an effective post-rock/post-metal composed of titles with long and evolving structures leaving the listener the time to impregnate himself with the ambiences and to feel himself evolving among their meanders. During the “covidian” break of 2020-2022 the band evolved with the addition of a 5th member who contributes not as a musician but as a videographer and thus adds an additional dimension to the universe of the band.

After the release of an EP in 2013 (recorded at Hummus Records studio in La Chaux-de-Fonds / Switzerland) by Jonathan Nido (ex-The Ocean Collective / Coilguns) and mixed and mastered by Loïc Rossetti (The Ocean Collective) at Digisub studio in Sion / Switzerland, WTLD releases in 2017 under the Swiss label Vitruve Records, a first LP entitled 'Wailing of the Leonids' which is conceived as the narration of a real sidereal epic in search of a new home for humanity always on the same label.
